The “Volharding Staveren” shipyard was founded at the beginning of the twentieth century by Auke van der Werff.In this small Friesian village with the official status of city, he started building and repairing fishing boats and cargo ships. His grandson andnamesake is currently at the helm of this ambitious family company, where the old traditions of superior craftsmanship are still maintained.

This shipyard with a history of almost a century combines tradition with a modern view of building steel yachts with international allure. Nowadays this takes the name “Sturiër Yachts”.  No detail is overlooked and only materials of the highest quality are used.
